توضیح:
destitute تقریباً یعنی فقیر. حالا چرا تقریباً. ببینید، در زبان انگلیسی وقتی شخصی پول بسیار اندکی دارد یا مثلاً در خانه ای بسیار کهنه و کلنگی در پایین شهر زندگی می کند، به او poor می گویند. اگر همین شخص کلاً خانه ای نداشته باشد(!)، کلمه destitute می تواند صفت خوبی برای توصیف شرایطش باشد. همین قضیه برای اسم این کلمه یعنی destitution هم صادق است. یعنی destitution صرفاً فقر نیست و شرایطی فلاکت بار تر از فقر را نشان می دهد. باز به افراد بی خانمان فکر کنید، آنها به معنی واقعی کلمه destitute هستند و شرایط زندگی شان را می توان destitution نامید.
destitute همانطور که در بالا هم اشاره کردم برای بیان ” فاقد چیزی بودن” هم بکار می رود. البته برای این کار باید ساختار to be destitute of sth را بکار ببرید. پس در مورد شخصی که destitute است، می توان گفت او destitute of money است. ساختار to be destitute of sth می تواند برای چیز های غیر مالی هم بکار برود. مثلاً مهندسی که تازه از دانشگاه فارق التحصیل شده destitute of experience است. یا فرد بدون اعتماد به نفس destitute of self-confidence می باشد. برویم سراغ چند مثال:
هر از چند گاهی در اخبار می شنویم که پلیس فردی را دستگیر کرده که در خیابان با تظاهر به destitute بودن گدایی می کرد، در حالیکه در واقعیت بسیار هم ثروتمند بوده و ثروتش را هم از همین راه کسب کرده! یا هستند افرادی که برای فرار از مالیات تظاهر می کنند destitute هستند و هر ساله عده زیادی از آنها گیر اداره مالیات نمی افتند!!!

می گویند فقر مادر جرائم است، در این صورت تصور کنید destitution چه کارها که نمی کند.

That’s definitely poor for people, but 2,500,000 rials means destitution, specially in Tehran.
look at the definition of “poverty line” or “poverty threshold” from wikipedia
“The poverty threshold, or poverty line, is the minimum level of income deemed adequate in a particular country.”
now you judge whether its poor or destitute!

the word”economical” is different from economic.
I am going to talk about the difference very soon. but for now, just change it to “economic” . something else, look how cause is used:
cause sth to do sth
if I were you I would change the last part of the sentenced to :….policy made a large number of people destitute.

رامین جان، مثالت مثل بقیه مثال هات در ای اس ال ایران حرف نداره. فقط چند تا نکته:
۱- منظورت از destitution worker چیه؟ اگر کارگر فقیر هست که باید صفتش رو استفاده کنی.
۲- وقتی due to آوردی دیگه نمی تونی بگی “منجر به این شرایط/معضل/مشکل شده”.
۳- منجر شدن میشه result in.
خود فعل result به تنهایی به این صورت استفاده میشه:
A resulted due to B. : یعنی B باعث شد A رخ بدهد.
A resulted. :یعنی A رخ داد.
َA resulted from B. :یعنی یعنی B باعث شد A رخ بدهد.
